Ben Tre – Mo Cay – Vung Liem

11:30 AM: Arrive at Mango Home Riverside and board your Mango cruise boat at the pier. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink while the crew handles your luggage.

Set sail along the An Hoa River, heading towards Phong Nam village in Giong Trom. Here, you’ll take a serene rowing sampan ride through narrow canals lined with lush water coconut plants.

Make a stop at a local home to savor tropical fruits and chat with the farmers. Visit a coconut spirit factory to learn about local production methods, then embark on a bike or rickshaw trip around the village.

Relax and enjoy lunch at Mango Restaurant before resuming your cruise to the Mo Cay canals. Visit a coconut processing workshop to see how locals utilize every part of the coconut.

Continue your journey to Vung Liem province, where you’ll stop at a traditional brick-making factory and witness age-old techniques in action.

Return to your boat to freshen up for a cooking demonstration and dinner on board. Spend the evening at your leisure as you relax on the Co Chien River.

Day 2:

Vung Liem

Wake up to breakfast served on board, then set off to explore the town of Vung Liem by bicycle. Visit the Happy Buddha Temple, a stunning example of Khmer architecture, and continue on to the Cao Dai Temple, representing a unique blend of Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism.

After your visits, return to the cruise to refresh and check out. You’ll be transferred to Vung Liem Market, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to Saigon or onward to your next destination.

Continue your visit with a short walk to Mrs. Huong’s house, where you can meet her and her family, who live off fishing, shrimping, and fruit orchards. Savor fresh fruits and tea in her garden before boarding a rowing sampan for a peaceful ride through narrow canals surrounded by lush nature.

Return to your boat and cruise to Mango Home Riverside Pier in Ben Tre town, where you will disembark and transfer to your vehicle for the drive back to Saigon or your onward trip.

11:30 AM: Upon arrival at Mango Home Pier in Bến Tre, board your Mango Cruises boat and set sail on the An Hoa River. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and the serene scenery as the crew takes care of your luggage.

Your first stop is Phong Nam village in Giong Trom, where you’ll embark on a cycling trip to explore the local daily life. Visit a local home to sample tropical fruits and engage in conversation with the farmer. Next, tour a coconut spirits factory, a supplier to many local markets.

Continue your adventure with a rowing sampan ride through narrow canals shaded by lush water coconut plants. After enjoying the tranquil waters, return to the larger river for lunch served on board.

Post-lunch, head to My Long village to meet Mr. Sau Tuong, a former Vietcong soldier who now crafts rice paper, a local specialty. Enjoy crispy rice paper made by his wife and observe the production process.

Return to the boat and cruise to Cồn Ốc, renowned for its coconut products. Visit Ms. Dung’s house, where her family creates beautiful handicrafts from coconut shells. Engage with the locals before returning to your boat to enjoy the sunset.

Phong Nam – Ben Tre
